Swimming Coaches
Erin Argentieri Coach Erin is beginning her
fifth season coaching with LMT. She began swimming on the LMT team at
age 4 and swam all four years for Pennsbury High School. In 2006, Erin
was chosen Pennsbury High School “Freshman of the Year” and while
recovering from shoulder surgery, placed 15th at the 2006
district meet. Erin was selected for the 2006 and 2007 Bucks County
Courier Times Golden Team, and the 2006 and 2007 SOL All League Team.
In 2008, Erin was selected to the Second Team Courier Times Golden Team
for the 200 medley relay. Her senior year at PHS she was captain of both
the varsity swim and track teams. She was given the 3 D's award (Desire,
Dedication, and Determination) at the end of her senior year. Erin
holds an LMT and PAC team record in the back stroke. Erin is now
attending the University of Vermont and is in the Pre-med track. She
competes on the Division I varsity track and field team in the
pentathlon and heptathlon as well as the open high jump, and hurdles.
Madeline Barlow
Coach Madeline is beginning her second year
coaching for LMT. She began swimming for LMT when she was 9 years old
and swam all four years for Pennsbury High School. In her senior year,
she placed 4th in the 100 butterfly making her an automatic qualifier
for State Championships. Madeline was selected for the Bucks County
Courier Times 1st team in the 100 butterfly, as well as Pennsylvania
All-State Team for the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke in 2009, and 100
Butterfly in 2010. She is now an Exercise Science major at Bloomsburg
University. She competes on the Division 2 varsity swim team and
currently holds three records including the 400 Medley Relay, 200
Individual Medley, and the 200 Backstroke. She also competed in the
Division 2 National Championships this year.
Matt Chrzanowski Coach Matt is beginning his
fourth summer on the LMT coaching staff and is finishing his junior year
at Pennsbury High School. In 2008, Matt was a district finalist in the
100 backstroke and relay and also a state qualifier in all these
events. Matt was chosen for the 2008 Bucks County Courier Times Golden
First Team as he was the top backstroker in the county this high school
season. Coach Matt has been a member of the LMT Swim Team for 8 years,
a swim lesson instructor for two years, and a coach with the Pennsbury
Aquatic Club for the past 2 years.
Cynthia Deitch This will be Coach
Cynthia’s fourth year coaching with the LMT swim team. Coach Cynthia
swam competitively on a summer league team for eleven years. She also
swam for four years on her high school team. Coach Cynthia coached for a
summer league swim team in New Jersey for six years and a high school
swim team for one year. She attended the University of Delaware
receiving a B.S. in Health and Physical Education and attended Temple
University where she received a MED in Therapeutic Recreation. She has
taught physical education and health on both the elementary and
secondary level and has also worked as a recreation therapist with both
children and adults with disabilities. Coach Cynthia has also been a
coach for the Pennsbury Aquatics Club for two years, and has two
children who are on the LMT swim team.
Patrick Griffin 2010 will begin Coach Pat’s second year as an
LMT coach, but will be his fifth as a swim instructor. Pat was born in
the water, and learned to swim before he could walk. He has come a long
way, just having finished his junior year at Pennsbury High School, and
has numerous championship titles, including: 2 time Bucks County Golden
First Team in 100 backstroke, Bucks County Golden Second Team in the 200
IM, 200, 100, and 50 freestyles, 2nd place 100 backstroke at
2010’s NJ Pirate Invitational, as well as the LMT and PAC record holder
in the same event. Also, this past high school season, Pat earned spots
on Pennsbury’s 2 time SOL Champion Team relays, which qualified for
districts, finaled at the state competition, and broke the pool and
school record in the 400 and 200 freestyle relays. Outside of school,
Pat swims for Tri-Hampton YMCA, with whom he qualified for two of the
nation’s fastest meets, Spring Short course and Summer Long course
Nationals.
Melanie Hoover This will be Coach Melanie’s second season
coaching with the LMT swim team. Coach Melanie coached for the Newtown
Swim Club for the past 9 years, where she has been a member for the past
20 years. Her coaching career began as she developed a true passion for
the sport of swimming and working with children while she witnessed her
now grown children enjoy and thrive in the sport. Coach Melanie also
coached for 2 winters with the Spirit USA Swim Club in Newtown.
Throughout the year you can find Melanie at the Washington Crossing
Tennis Center where she is employed as the League Manager.
Heather Jorris (Head Coach) Coach Heather
was an LMT assistant coach for 3 seasons, this will be her fifth season
as Head Coach. Coach Heather’s other coaching experience includes
coaching a summer league team in Northern Virginia, beginning a learn to
swim program on the island of Guam, coaching Masters swimmers in
Honolulu and at the Newtown Athletic Club, and directing/coaching
triathlon/cycling/ run training programs for over 10 years. Heather is
also a Lead Age Group coach for the Tri-Hampton YMCA swim team. In the
winter, Heather coaches and directs the Guy’s Bicycles Winter Training
Series and teaches corporate fitness classes in the Philadelphia and
Bucks County areas. She graduated from Penn State University with a
degree in Exercise and Sports Science and was a member of the Varsity
swimming and cross country teams. Heather raced as a professional
triathlete from 1998-2008 and now competes as an elite masters
triathlete, specializing in the Ironman distance. On May 31, Heather
will compete in the Brazil Ironman, her 15th Ironman distance
race, in hopes of qualifying for her 9th Hawaii Ironman.
Heather is the mother of two boys, ages 8 and 11 who swim on the LMT
Swim Team.
Kylie McKenzie: Coach Kylie is
excited to start her second season coaching with LMT. She will attend
Emory University in the fall. Kylie will be swimming for the 2010 NCAA
Division III Champions. She started swimming at the age of eight and has
been swimming competitively ever since then. During her short stay in
Massachusetts, Kylie swam for Acton-Boxborough and finished in the top
five in breaststroke and butterfly at the MIAA Division I North
Sectionals and State Swimming Championships as a freshman and sophomore.
She was the assistant coach for the local town team for both years.
Kylie currently swims for Tri-Hampton YMCA and is a member of the YMCA
National Team. She is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. Outside of
the pool, Kylie is also a member of the National Honor Society and the
volunteer association for the Lower Bucks County chapter of the Red
Cross.
Cassie Meade 2010 will be Coach Cassie’s
fourth year coaching with LMT. She has been on the LMT team since the
age of 5 and has been a competitive swimmer for 10 years. Coach Cassie
will be finishing her senior year at Pennsbury High School this spring.
She plans to attend Elizabethtown College in the fall to study
education. Cassie plays goalie for the Pennsbury High School Varsity
soccer team and is also one of the four captains for the team.
Laura Quigley This will be Coach Laura’s
sixth season coaching for LMT swim team. She was a member of LMT and
PAC swim teams for 12 years. She also swam for Pennsbury’s Varsity Swim
Team, where she received the 3-D (dedication) Award three years in a row
and was also the recipient of the Unsung Hero and Academic All-American
Awards. Coach Laura continued swimming at Elizabethtown College where
she graduated last May with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is
currently in graduate school at Thomas Jefferson University in the
Doctorate of Physical Therapy program.
Andrea Raffle Coach Andrea is happy to be
starting her third season as a coach for LMT. Andrea graduated from
Nazareth Academy this year and will attend Catholic University of
America next year. In the fall she hopes to swim for the Division III
Cardinal team and major in Political Science/Pre-Law. Currently Andrea
is also a lifeguard for LMT, and teaches swimming lessons. For the past
few years she has also coached for Penn Aquatics Club. When not at
swimming, Andrea is very involved with her Competition Dance Team,
School Play and is President of the Nazareth Academy Republican Club.
Jill Schieren 2010 will be Coach
Jill’s fifth season coaching with LMT. Jill coached for the PAC swim
team for 7 seasons and was the head of the 8 and under program for four
years. Jill was a competitive swimmer for 8 years and is a certified
USA coach. Currently, Jill is pursuing a degree in Nutritional Science
with a minor in Business at BCCC and has recently become an avid
runner. Jill was featured in Women’s Health Magazine and on The Today
Show for her incredible tenacity and discipline for making lifestyle
changes that resulted in a 110 pound weight loss.
Mike Stolosky This season will be Coach
Mike’s fourth one with LMT. He has been swimming on various teams since
age 5 and currently swims for Albright College, where he will graduate
with a degree in Physics and Education this spring. He was a member of
The Newtown Swim Club summer league team for ten years, Council Rock
Swim Club, Spirit Swim Club, Trihampton YMCA team, and the Council Rock
High School Varsity swim team. Coach Mike is a three time District
qualifier and a two time PA State High School Championships qualifier.
He holds records for Council Rock North in the 200 medley relay and for
Albright College in the 2000 butterfly. Coach Mike has several Top 3
places in the MAC Conference meets for Albright College.
Allyson Tiberio Coach Allyson will begin her
fourth season coaching LMT this summer. She began swimming at age 5 and
swam with the Stoneybrook Swim Club and Spirit of ’76 as an Age
Grouper. In high school, Coach Allyson was a four year varsity swimmer
at Archbishop Wood High School and an American Red Cross Swim Instructor
for over 10 years. Coach Allyson graduated from Villanova University
with a double major in Education and Communications. Currently, she
teaches second grade at Saint Andrew School and coaches their track
team.
John “Doc” Wilson Coach Doc has over 30
years of coaching experience and has been a coach with LMT for 16
years. Prior to LMT, Doc was the Head Coach at Somerton Springs Summer
Swim Club for five years and Fanny Chapman Summer Swim Club for four
years, leading each team to two League Champion titles. Doc was the
CBAC (SAL League) Assistant and Head Coach for 12 years, leading them to
four Division and one League Championship titles. Doc is currently the
Head Boys and Girls Swim Coach at Pennsbury High School, leading them to
a District 1 Championship title and coaching 10 high school
All-Americans. In 2009 he again led the Boys Team to an SOL title. Doc
is a Level 5 USA coach and was chosen the Courier Times 2006, 2007,
2008, and 2009 Swimming Coach of the Year.
Diving Coaches
Joe Costello (Head Diving Coach) 2010 will
be Coach Joe’s first year coaching the LMT Diving Team. Coach Joe is
coming off a very successful rookie year coach as Head Diving Coach for
Pennsbury High School. Joe recruited and fielded the largest team in
Pennsbury High School’s history. His success included 4 divers making
districts and one finishing 4th in the states. Joe has been involved
with Blue Dolphin Diving Team for the past 3 years. He has attended 7
camps run by 7 time Olympic coach Dick Kimball.
Emily Howard Coach Emily is beginning her
second season coaching with LMT. She is finishing her senior year at
Pennsbury High School and will be attending Clemson University in South
Carolina for diving in the fall. She began diving on the LMT team at
age 9 and has set LMT, LBSL, PAC, Suburban Aquatic League, and Pennsbury
High school records. Diving for Pennsbury, Emily was the SOL National
and District One silver medalist in 2007 and 2008 and gold medalist in
2009 and 2010 as well as 4-time PIAA state finalist and 2009 and 2010
state medalist. Emily was selected for the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Bucks
County Courier Times Golden Team, SOL All-League Team, District One
All-District Team and the All-State Team. In addition, Emily trains
with the elite Red Dragon Diving Team, an AAU and US Diving affiliated
club. She is an 19-time US East National qualifier, 3-time Speedo
Junior National qualifier and 8-time AAU All American competing on
1-meter and 3-meter springboard and platform. In 2005, Emily was the
AAU Girls 13 and under Platform National Champion. Emily previously
coached the lessons program of the Blue Dolphin Diving Team at the
College of New Jersey and for PAC. Emily is a member of the National
Honor Society and can also be found on the oven line at Cosi in Newtown.
Alicia Raffle Alicia will be starting her
first season as a coach for LMT but is no stranger to the team. She has
been diving for LMT since she was 8 years old. During her time on the
team she has taken the 1st place trophy in the 11 & under
age division as well as many other top finishes. Alicia attends Nazareth
Academy High School where she is a member of the Swim and Dive team.
Alicia has placed 3rd in both her Freshman and Sophomore
years at the Academy Championship and this year qualified for the
District 1 Championship placing 6th. She was also named to
the All-District 1 Team. In the winter Alicia Dives for Penn Aquatics
and placed 4th at this winters SAL Championship. When not
diving, Alicia is a Competition Dancer, performed in her school play and
participates in numerous school clubs. |
