| Welcome to the 2010 swim season. Whether you are a veteran swim team parent or a new parent to swimming we want every parent to have the opportunity of being involved in the swim team. Sign up posters for both the crocs and the gators are at the pool. Please be reminded that every family is required to work at least five of the dual meets. With the exception of the starter-referee, strokes-turns judges, and the head table worker, these jobs can be performed without special certification. All of the assigned jobs are important to a memorable meet experience for the swimmers. Please feel free to ask us if you need further information about any of these jobs.

lane
marshals the meet director or starter/referee will instruct the marshals in lane requirements for warm-up sessions. the marshals will remain on deck during the entire warm-up session and ensure that all safety guidelines are followed by all swimmers during this period. top |

stroke & turn judge determines that all swimmers are executing the proper strokes and turns as set forth by united states swimming rules. a disqualified swimmer earns no points. two judges are needed if a diving well divides one side of the pool. judges also judge the relay starts to ensure no early starts. click here for further details on usa swimming rules. * training clinic required, must walk 2 meets with a certified official to complete certification for position. top |
